REVEAL! 8 short weeks and this One Room Challenge is COMPLETE! Week 1 I revealed the room I would be transforming was my room! It was fine, but it was not decorated. It felt cold and sterile and definitely not the warm and cozy way I wanted it to feel. I’ll show you where it started in 2019 when we purchased the home, pretty poor condition. We got it cleaned up and livable but did not do much more, until now.
I had many projects over the 8 weeks. First, I ordered a TON of samples. Wallpaper, fabric, and rugs samples, oh my!
Next, I (successfully) attempted my first ever drywall project. I tore out a niche and filled it with drywall.
Then, I repaired end tables.
Next up, I hung grasscloth wallpaper for the first time! A challenging but fun feat.
I installed a double lattice ceiling, board by board. That was a big project but so worth it!
Next came the cornice board that I built and upholstered.
One final DIY was reupholstering the bench seat.
It turned out even better than I could have imagined!! I still can’t believe I get to sleep here!!
I had so much fun transforming this room and enjoyed sharing the process in detail on Instagram. I hope you love it as much as I do! I worked with so many amazing sponsors for this project to come to life and they are listed below!
Wallpaper and Fabric: Danika Herrick for Spoonflower
Fabric and Trim: Schumacher
Lattice: Woodgrain
Paint: Backdrop for Schumacher
Rug: Reimer Floors
Lighting: Vevano Home

Absolutely stunning!!!!!
Is that a king sized bed? How much fabric did you need for the cornice board and drapes behind the bed? Is there a tutorial you used? I’d love to do this for my bedroom. Beautiful!
